1. Never click on any links in any e-mail to access the bank's site. Hover your mouse over the links in each message to display the actual URLs. OR Rest your mouse (don't click on link) to see if the address matches the link that was typed in the message.
2. Review credit card and bank account mini statements on regular basis to check for unauthorized charges. OR Routinely review your bank and credit card statements monthly for unexplained charges or inquiries that you do not initiate. OR Review your account statement in timely manner. .
3.Change your passwords on periodic basis like in every three or four months..
4.Spear phishing thrives on familiarity on you (e.g. Email by mentioning your name), so don't tempt to open any attachments or links, images in the mail before making confirmation.
5.Don't use public Wi-Fi/computers to login to your account and always logout when you completed your transactions.
6.Never share personal/financial details to anyone (even to close ones)through mails.
